When you sign up for early access, we collect your email address. If you reach out through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the message you send. We also automatically capture limited technical information described in the ‘TECHNICAL INFORMATION’ section below.
We use your email address solely to notify you about Chalked product availability, including the JAWN launch, and to send occasional product updates. We will never sell or rent your email address. We share it only with the service providers listed in ‘SUBPROCESSORS’ as needed to operate the service.
Your email address is stored securely. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information from unauthorized access.
You can request removal of your email from our list at any time by contacting us at info@chalkedai.com. We will promptly delete your information upon request.
This policy may be updated as our product develops. When we launch the full Chalked platform, a comprehensive privacy policy will be provided covering all product features and data handling practices.
When you submit a form on our website, we automatically capture your IP address and browser user-agent. We use this information only to investigate spam, abuse, and security incidents. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose. Technical information is retained for 90 days and then deleted, except when retained longer is necessary to investigate an active security incident.
We try to use as little client-side tracking as possible. Here’s what we use, and why.
Essential cookies. When you sign in to a staff-only admin area, we set a session cookie called admin-session so we can keep you signed in. This cookie is only set after explicit password entry, only used by Chalked staff, and expires after 24 hours. Public visitors never receive this cookie.
Analytics. We use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and what devices and countries they use. Vercel Analytics is cookieless: it does not set any cookies, does not store any identifiers on your device, and does not track you across sites. Aggregated traffic data is visible to us; you are not individually identifiable.
Third-party widgets. The /book page embeds a calendar widget from Cal.com so you can schedule a call. When you visit /book and the calendar loads, Cal.com may set its own cookies on the cal.com domain (not chalkedai.com) to manage your booking session. These cookies are governed by Cal.com’s privacy policy, not ours. If you do not visit /book, no Cal.com cookies are set.
What we don’t use. We don’t use Google Analytics. We don’t use marketing pixels. We don’t use session recording. We don’t use A/B testing platforms. We don’t use behavioral advertising trackers. We don’t share your data with advertisers.
Manage your data. To clear cookies set by chalkedai.com, use your browser’s site data settings. To manage Cal.com cookies, see cal.com’s privacy controls.
To operate our website and send email, we use the following service providers, each of which may process personal data on our behalf as part of normal operation: Vercel hosts our website and routes traffic, and may process IP addresses and request metadata as part of standard web traffic. Vercel Analytics provides anonymous, cookieless traffic analytics and processes aggregated, non-identifying metadata about page visits. Neon hosts our database and stores the email addresses and form submissions described above. Resend sends transactional email on our behalf and receives recipient email addresses to deliver mail. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We do not authorize them to use your information for any purpose other than providing service to us.
